Careful

Big weekend.  Millions around the world were taking the half-day off on Friday while millions of others were cleaning their house with a feather, (there’s a really funny old joke that comes to mind, but I’m serious about this), in the eternally-connected, albeit somewhat polar opposite, Passover/Easter celebration…oh, and the Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, Druids, Scientologists, guys who worship pound cake, (often Scientologists), and other, too numerous to mention sects, cults and feverish congregations, gathered to do their dance, (or “No Dancing!” in some cases), to the glory of their chosen god or gods.  By the end of the weekend, enough time, energy and money will be spent to have made significant progress in combatting hunger and homelessness and disease and inequality, if only those pursuits were as compelling as  the fear of eternal damnation.  I prefer the other, more human path.  Can I get an Amen?
