Words have become so politicized that the yin or the yang of ‘conservative’ versus ‘liberal’ belies their roots.  2012 conservatives are certainly not advocating the conservation of much of anything:  a strong-voiced middle class…hardly; the constitutional mandate of equality…pshaw; educational excellence…duh; trees, water, clean air…fuckin’ Sierra Club!  They constantly invoke the name of Ronald Reagan, (although Team-Romney seems a bit confused by its spelling), yet refuse to acknowledge that today, anyone with Ronnie’s political views would be bound and dragged behind the right wing pick-up and demonized for advocating unnecessary and unfair taxation and government intervention at every turn.  The new conservatism, fueled by corporate greed, has masterfully used the fear of big, soul-stealing government to manipulate legions of the uninformed to follow their pipers into the darkness of austerity.

Conservatism is simply, (I’m going with not too simply), a well-orchestrated plot to permanently deregulate the rape of the Earth’s resources no matter the environmental cost and further unfetter the financial giants from their quest to own all of the marbles.  The resultant and soon irreversible gap in wealth distribution will make feudal England seem democratic by comparison.  In the process, the best parts of the two hundred-thirty-six-year democratic experiment that is us, (or US), and the beneficial proliferation of those most human and humane ideas and ideals throughout the world are being undermined by false claims of protecting personal liberty.  This is how empires fall, when the narcissistic wielders of wealth and power, (imagine a poster with a goofily-smiling Mitt…oh…you don’t have to imagine), become utterly detached.  Historically, revolution is the reset button, as the huge majority of have-nothings rise up when they tire of, well, having nothing.  Nowadays, with universal TV and/or InterNet access, although the inequities match all historical standards for a wild and wooly rebellion, the sheer numbers of rhetorically manipulated, conservative Kool-Aid® drinkers teeters precariously back-and-forth, (depending on the poll or pollster of the day), in and out of the majority.  Lemmings…right?

I gotta go…these concepts are exhausting and I’ve got a lot to do.  Must conserve energy.
