Congressional Break

After a wildly productive legislative session wherein our bungling bevy of bi-camerans grudgingly agreed to throw a few billion dollars at the shamelessly broken veterans’ care debacle and, well ummm, what am I forgetting?…oh, yeah, agreeing to sue the President, the members of the 113th Congress are taking a completely undeserved, paid vacation to concentrate on the midterm elections in the hope of maintaining or bettering their party’s position.  It seems of little consequence that “position”, in this context, refers solely to the geometrical plotting of the space occupied by the various electees with no reference to or concern with the action, (or to be more precise, inaction), of said space fillers once elected.

I wish I could chill and stop worrying about our lawmakers.  I hope they use sun block.
