It dawned on me, (and I’m embarrassed to say that it took this long), listening to the thirtieth or fortieth playback of Rudi Giuliani whining about Obama not loving America, in general, or any one of us, specifically, that the reason so little gets done is directly attributable to the non-productive exchange of indecipherable rhetoric parsing the grammar, context and word selection of every statement made in public, without ever addressing the intent of even the agreeable elements of its content. There’s a lot of noise, curling of lips and beady-eyed-eyebrow-raising glaring accompanied by gasps, harrumphs and shoulder-sagging, head-shaking exasperations, but rarely, very rarely, any substantive constructive criticism or alternative supposition indicating, at least, a basic understanding of the thesis in question. See what I mean?
