Just to be clear, TED Talks® are insightful, educational, entertaining presentations by compelling presenters on subjects meant to stimulate creative thought. When Ted Cruz talks, not so much.
I’m not expecting to expend much energy commenting on the antics of Senator Cruz. He’s a rather meaningless, moronic, monkey-boy of the worst say-or-do-anything-to-get-noticed variety so prevalent in the inbred gene pool of Republican politics. But he’s the first whack-a-mole to poke his head up, so…
His anti immigration stand needs to be boldly footnoted to explain his barely constitutional eligibility to hold the office of President. He is Canadian born to a Cuban father and only ekes by, (making Obama seem downright blue-blooded), through his mama’s US citizenship.
His repeatedly drooling rage over the unconstitutionality of ObamaCare would seem to have been trumped this week by his wife’s loss of her work-related family coverage as she resigned to campaign for her man. Can you guess where the Cruz’s turned for health care?
Going to Harvard Law, somehow, did not require an acceptance of empirical math or science, or he truly believes that there is some electoral advantage in pandering to the naysayers of evolution, climate change, the Earth’s roundness or the proponents of unregulated banks, political financing, gun ownership, creamy over crunchy and whatever goop he’s slathering in his hair. Going to Liberty University, (Jerry Falwell’s temple of misinformation), to announce his candidacy, speaks volumes to his adversarial relationship with reality and could only have been more appropriate had he been wearing a red nose and floppy shoes.
He lives in Texas!
He shut down the government simply to get noticed, never considering that attaching his name to some beneficial piece of legislation might appear more presidential.
Once a classic rock fan, Ted changed his mind after 9/11 and now loves Country Music. Kinda like Dennis Miller except for the part where Dennis Miller used to be funny.
I hate his nose. I know, that’s superficial of me. It’s most likely unaltered, (who would have chosen that thing, right?), so it’s not something one should criticize. But it scares me. It reminds me of that bad guy, Gru, in Despicable Me. You know, the guy with the minions when he was still bad, not later on, like in Despicable Me II, when he became a doting father. Maybe I’m crazy, but that nose makes me think he’s plotting something sinister.
But…just in case his campaign gains serious traction…here’s your slogan, Ted:
