Without question, ever-increasing and horrifying acts of random terrorism have compromised the equilibrium of citizens in every corner of the Earth. That mortal danger lurks on the sidewalks of Times Square or within the confines of an otherwise jubilant music venue, on an Egyptian bus ride or in an Iraqi marketplace, tosses the value of everyone’s expectation of safety into the random pool of happenstance. History has proven, time and again, that the intolerance of human ideology, ethno-centric superiority and basic, shameless greed lead to heinous acts of cruelty and unconscionable loss of precious life. But now, at this moment, at this unbalanced tick on the human time line, when we are in possession of crafted tools that leave us teetering on the edge of our self-destruction, only brave, caring, intelligent, tolerant, communicative, peace-loving leaders can save us from our worst selves. Donald Trump’s button finger, (having none of these admirable attributes), may be the most dangerous digit in history. It is our existential responsibility to make him go away before his bumbling, egomaniacal, anti-social behavior smirks us into oblivion.
