Conservative Values

  • 1.6 trillion in tax cuts, mostly for the very, very, very rich.
  • Repeal of the ACA returning the US to the worst access to health care of any modern society.
  • Removal of regulations aimed to protect life on Planet Earth.
  • Removal of regulations insuring that the existing feudal gap between haves and have-nots will grow from ridiculous to ultra-preposterous.
  • Continuation of the Constitution-killing Citizens United notion that the interests of commerce are more precious than the health, safety and security of people, (which, somehow, these titans of industry have calculated that their riches will magically immunize them against the disasters being exacerbated by their thirst for profits).
  • A selective and fundamentally illegal melding of church and state.
  • Nationalism.

I look at these “Conservative/Republican” people and wonder how they make it through their day.  I’ve been an emotional wreck, trying to absorb the horror of this season’s round of devastating hurricanes and the nightmarish earthquake in Mexico.  Shouldn’t the 200th try to fuck people out of health care at least take a back seat to an all-out effort to ease some of the suffering?  It’s perplexing that anyone would support the blatant, though smoke-screened, wave upon wave of mean, dispiriting legislation from the Right.

Then, of course, their fearless leader shuffled off to the UN to make sure that the world knew that only he knows anything, (which every interpreter translated to, “I really don’t know shit about anything but…”), before zipping down to Alabamee to tell a crowd of screaming morons that NFL players have no first amendment rights…because there sure wasn’t anything else going on in the world to talk about.

There simply is no value in any part of the conservative agenda.
