Once upon…

It seemed to me that this Grimm way of beginning a fairytale was appropriate to this week’s grim story.

…in the Land of Queens, a blubbery, excessively-white, male-ish, soulless child was born with a silver spoon crammed so far up his ass that his eyes saw the world as being upside down and backwards.  As the child grew, and grew, and grew, his increased girth required the totality of his developmental energy and, alas, his brain and hands, (and their metaphoric equivalent), remained pea-sized.  Unable to accommodate all of the letters of the alphabet, reading became impossible. Incapable of complex thought, (actually, any action that would clinically be described as thought), he merely babbled like a moron.  Devoid of the genetic material required to link him to the traits evolved over 100,000 years of humans giving a shit about other things and each other, he simply became an asshole.  His very, very rich father, (also an asshole), dumped untold riches upon the boy, which was used for cockamamie flights of fancy, earmarked by the common themes of racism, dishonesty and shameless braggadocio.  He craved attention and was publicly loud, egomaniacal and, as I mentioned, huge and caught the eye of an evil Russian genius who fiendishly recruited our idiot hero by plying him with Miss Universe pageants, pee buddies, false promises of named towers in Red Square, more cash, (he’d already used up all of daddy’s), and insincere praise like, “Atta boy!”  For thirty years, EG, (Evil Genius for those playing the home game), puppeted, (marionetted, actually), the antics and buffoonery of the Kremlin Candidate, bulldozing a covertly manipulated path to the White House.  In his first two years as President, he has been systematically dismantling everything that might be considered “good” by those fairytale people who are not ogres or witches, malevolent stepmothers or evil wizards.

The Grimms, had they penned this tale, would have provided a Frog-Prince or Giddy Godmother to save the day.  In our unimaginable reality, this may sadly be
