Anne Parsons saved my life
Of course,
She would make that throat-clearing laugh
Or give you the look-away grin
If presented with such an idea
But
Anne’s propensity for rescue
Both quiet and boisterous
Calm and intense
Was her superpower
Any wrong that could be righted
Or diva, (more likely, divo), in need of cuddle
Or chaos, crying out for taming
Took a grateful knee
Before her un-fuzzy logic
And precise measure
Of hug and heart
