What a disastrous week:  Italy voted in a fascist government; Putin annexed a fifth of Ukraine; Judge Aileen Cannon, (well, she’s a disaster, right?); and Ian, among the most devastating storms to ever make landfall in the US, first pummeled Cuba, then Florida and South Carolina.  I can’t wrap my head around the Italian thing, why people with a vote would make the most historically awful choice, (39 days to midterms…just sayin’).  As for Putin, all able-bodied Russians need to stop fleeing their country and make a faster, more concerted effort at removing this madman from the world stage.  Fuck Aileen!  And, not to be totally insensitive in a time of tragedy, but fuck Ron DeSantis too, being all governorly and pleading for Federal disaster relief after voting against it in Congress, well, he and all of the climate-denying, QAnon-loving Floridians might want to take a mo and ponder why their Lord and Savior rained down all of that wind, water and brimstone.  Thoughts and prayers.
