Is that still a thing? I don’t know where it came from, (not Googling it either), but it used to be a common expression of giving up. I guess it’s gone out of style or maybe it doesn’t have a clever enough abbreviation to have made it into the texting lexicon. Anyway, I feel like shouting it many times, every day. I’ve given up believing that in our current age of the too-much-information dump, that truth is a fifty/fifty proposition. It’s not that half of us embrace the researched, studied and logical facts while the other half find empirical data to support the opposite. No! Most of the fucked-up half, whatever reality may be placed in front of them, choose to gleefully accept the bullshit that fits their bigoted, xenophobic, misogynistic, uninformed, religious poppycock world view.
The Washington Post compared the Biden administration’s accomplishments regarding the economy, inflation, unemployment and health care, against all previous presidents. Biden ranks number 1. His approval rating is among the lowest.
The planet is at, (likely past), a warming tipping point. Everyone is experiencing it in real time. The Republicans have just released their proposal for more oil drilling and the elimination of almost all regulation limiting the emission of greenhouse gases.
