The Presidential…yaaawwwwn…Campaign

Ladies and gentlemen…Paul Ryan.

Let’s see…that would be Paul Ryan, from the very confused state of Wisconsin, who ran for and was elected to the US Congress.  I’m assuming, although I’ve never met him, nor had the opportunity to chat one-on-one, that he had some idea of what the job he was seeking actually entailed.  Let’s review.  Along with the other 434 elected members of the House of Representatives, Mr. Ryan’s job description is to “represent” his constituents in the proposing, debating and drafting of legislation for the betterment and protection of all citizens of the United States of America.  There is no language, specific or implied to indicate that an attempt to dismantle that process or to stone-wall every single Democratic or bi-partisan piece of legislation would indicate fulfillment of his elected office.  His Tea Party conspirators chose him as most qualified, (the criteria I believe may have been solely based on his excellent choice of hair care products), to draft the Republican version of a fair and balanced budget.  I’m simplifying, (as  I do from time to time strictly for emphasis), but that document, if it ever oozed its way through the smarmy fingers of a conservatively controlled Congress onto the desk of a Romney president, (sorry…my bowels just clenched), would be the manifestation of everything the “Occupy-whatever” people have been railing against; a country that would validate, by law, that 1% of its people are more important than the other 99; that everything is about money; and that government has no role in the protection of its citizens’ welfare except by obscenely bloated military might; oh…and FUCK MEDICARE!!!

I’ll bet Mr. Ryan can name a couple of magazines or other publications that he reads, (he probably wouldn’t have gotten through the in-depth Katie Couric portion of the vetting process otherwise), but the guy who said in his VP acceptance speech that “we need to return to our commitment to individual liberty and our trust in God to show the way”…well…I got nuthin’ else.
