I am aware that I typically use this space to complain, disparage, deconstruct and pontificate on the shortcomings of the topics I choose.  It’s not that I am ungrateful or feel personally deprived or put upon, (other than the way so many of us are daily deprived and perennially put upon); in fact, when I think about it, I feel like a lottery winner in the draw of gestational happenstance with regard to family and geography, (a much better result than the return for my thirty years of playing the same six numbers, first in California, then in New York).  So, though I will remain intolerant of intolerance, unaccepting  of bigotry and bullying and verbose in my call for fair and equitable treatment of everyone everywhere, let me put down my lance just long enough to say,
