Ok, so the poster child for dumbfuck has decided, for whatever reason, not to run for reelection to Congress.  Since her announcement was not followed by any immediate outpouring of disappointment, saddened sniffling or even a miniscule chorus of heartfelt “awwwwwws”, perhaps I can put into perspective the arc of Michele’s rise and fall on the national political scene.

In a nutshell, she represents the worst of the worst behavior of people toward other people, (a trait that makes her ultimately qualified to be a modern day Republican lawmaker).  She abandoned her too tolerant Lutheran beliefs for an extreme Evangelical catechism, proposing legislation in Minnesota, (coincidentally the newest state to sanction same sex marriage), that would make gay unions illegal despite the fact that she is in a union with the gayest man in Golden Gopher Land.  She has forged her Tea Party leadership position by making preposterous and truthfully-challenged public statements on subjects as far-reaching as the cost of Presidential diplomatic missions, (adding several zeroes to the actual expense), to the horror of childhood immunization, (falsely claiming documented direct links to autism and bi-polar disorder), to the “liberal conspiratorial hoax” of ‘Global Warming’, to the ungodliness of homosexuality, Jews and any woman who would exercise her Constitutional right to choose.  She is on the wrong side of every issue if you use the touchstone of beneficial to people or the planet as the right side.  Oh, and although I feel petty for making this point, she is one batshit-crazy-looking witch of a woman and her wide-eyed glare scares the crap out of me.

I have only one real problem with her announcement not to seek another term…it won’t take effect for seventeen endless months.
