Cruz Control

It has to be an unbelievable rush for anyone to command the attention and control that Tom…I mean Ted Cruz has stumbled into.  I can’t say that I, (and probably most people), if suddenly in a position to make big things happen, wouldn’t at least take that power for a test drive.  I would hope, however, that my turn at omniscience would include some modicum of moral responsibility, unlike Ted’s tenure of mindless, playground prankishness.

How absurd is it that the government has ground to an official halt, (as opposed to the legislative halt it has been at since the advent of the Republican majority in the House), based on the tantrums of idea-less representatives representing the clueless, under the barely veiled pretense of hating legislation that is predominantly what those ill-informed constituents want?  I could see if there was a motivating fear factor that, say, a provision of the “death panels” allowed arbitrary extermination power of, for instance, grease-ball-Texas-morons…but, there is no such provision…oh, and there are no “death panels”.  History is rife with examples of individuals grasping power, using ‘hot button’ issues to rally the disgruntled with postulates and promises to do away with the source of their disgruntlement.  But, time after time, (thank you Cyndi), they turn out to be Joe McCarthy, or Jim Jones, or Adolf Hitler, (he of the actual death panels), or Ted Cruz, the kid on the playground who will do, (or eat), anything to get attention.

Hey, Ted, you Koch sucker, your shutdown strategy is not working.  Why don’t you try the opposite?
