Why Conservatism Sucks

It’s become a near-futile exercise, trying to reach the growing numbers of red state conservatives who have been duped into supporting programs and policies that provide less of what they need while jeopardizing the realization of the dreams of what they want. By demonizing government and spending for socially responsible subsidies for housing, health, education and infrastructure the new regal class, (the one-per-centers), has successfully enamored its misguided minions into a slogan-shouting horde, fueled by deceptive advertising, punditry and bought and paid for political posturing. We have become mired in the muck of profit-driven decision making, abandoning the passion for innovative thinking and solutions to universally existential problems in deference to the obscene, (Martin Shkreli), growth of corporate wealth. Making cost the primary factor in support of research aimed at diminishing and curing disease, ending hunger and homelessness, being less destructive to our environment, embracing peace over war and other seemingly-beneficial-to-all issues, would, you might think, be easy to refute…but not when the dastardly Koch brothers can afford to craft commercials that portray themselves as 21st Century Robin Hoods. Life was much simpler when the bad guys had to wear black hats.
