The Romans used a ‘C’ to indicate the number 100. Late 19th century American educators developed the letter-grading system and assigned the ‘C’ to represent average performance. So, it seemed to me that there might be some correlation between the two as relates to the one hundred-day milestone of our befuddled chief executive, (he is not my President…he is not my President). Not that anything about the last one hundred days felt average in any way, but I thought, even with my abysmal grasp of American history, there have certainly been a fair share of blunders, misfires and errant calls in judgement that, grading on a curve, would cut Old Cheetohead some slack. In actuality…not even close. If you delete Henry Harrison who never made it to 100 days, Donald J. Trump is the most do-nothing President in history. He has signed a pile of damaging Executive Orders, (travel ban…reversed, defunding sanctuary cities…stayed by a federal judge, pretended to bring back coal…even coalminers think he’s a dick). He tried to repeal and replace ObamaCare twice…and failed, proposed “tax reform”…so his businesses can escape taxation just like he does personally, and has begun to systematically remove regulations for environmental and consumer protection…because, well, just because, His only two legislative accomplishments to date are: signing into law a stipulation that allows mentally ill patients to own guns; and the nomination and approval of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, (a jurist whose core beliefs are so steeped in religious dogma that he can’t wrap his robe around the conflicting irony). His composite grade, being dependent on the class work above, coupled with an element of citizenship, (being moral, truthful, kind and helpful to others), even by Trump University standards, is
(I’m still doing the research, but it’s possible that this was the Roman symbol for the first ever use of the term “fuckwad”)
