The villainy of Donald Trump and the spineless Republican Congress is no longer an uncomfortable divisively split-family dinner argument, it’s a bold, unapologetic matter of fact.  It is wrong-sided for every delicately existential checkbox:  Climate change, the environment, foreign relations, the economy, health, safety, DEMOCRACY, DECENCY, HUMANITY.

We can continue our reactionary outrage to the daily atrocities, inappropriate language, unconstitutional lawlessness and the wholesale dismantling of the underpinnings of the most inclusive governmental idea in human history, or we can say, “No!” No to him, no to the weak-minded politicians that refuse to call him out and no, No, NO to his base of misinformed, fascist bigots.  WE are the majority.  In our democracy, in the United States of America, our place in history was created to be the beacon of freedom, equality and hope for a blurred assemblage of races, religions and ideologies, and we must recommit ourselves to the fundamental principle that ALL men, (not a gender thing, so don’t lose focus), ARE created equal. Speak truth to power!  Encourage every citizen you encounter to pay attention, register and turn out in overwhelming numbers to exercise our most precious right to VOTE, and excise the cancer that has sickened us for far too long.  If we are complacent, if we are anything less than united and committed to purging this scourge from our midst…we’re toast.
