Full exposure…my ancestry, all of it, despite the trace percentage of Cherokee that 23 and Memay have determined was part of my cheek sample, (I’m thinking that the swabs may have been shipped from the Cherokee Nation Cigarette and Swab Distribution Warehouse), is, at least five generations deep through both parent’s lineage, 100% Russian.  Of course, we were Russian Jews and any of the good times to be had by any Russians during the 200+ years of the incomplete, mostly aural history of my ancestors, certainly were not shared by them.  Ironically, the persecuted Jews who endured unimaginable hardship and got the hell out of Dodge before the Bolshevik Revolution, were the lucky ones.  The failure of the Communist experiment that led to the still oppressive oligarchy that was the Iron Curtained Soviet Union and morphed into the Putin dictatorship was, unlike the American experiment in democracy, never about making life better for anyone except the very elite few.  So, there are no good old days to warm a reminiscing Russian’s heart and the Russian/Putin agenda doesn’t even pretend to contribute to the improvement of the human condition, deciding rather, to sow global chaos to make everyone else as miserable as they are.  And…this has become the most successfully administered ideology of our time.  Syria, France, Great Britain, Germany, Turkey, Venezuela, Brazil and, holy-fucking-shit, the United States of America are all being led around by the nose like a Russian circus bear.  It may be too late, but if there’s any chance of fighting off and reversing the hold of the Evil Empire, it’s going to come from the will of the American people.  Forget all of the hypnotic noise that has accompanied the rise of Trump’s America.  That’s the real fake news, (please add that to your favorite list of oxymorons), being blasted and tweeted and yelled and whispered in a non-stop barrage of Putin Propaganda.  If we continue with this suicidal campaign nonsense, by midnight on November 3, we will have kissed our freedom-loving asses goodbye.
