¾ of a billion dollars is certainly nothing to sneeze at.  I’m sure Dominion weighed the bird-in-the-hand possibility of our wonky judicial system blowing what seemed to be a slam dunk case, but once again, the settlement was a victory for the bad guys.  The damning, revelatory internal communications of the scumbag executives and on-air personalities at FOX, although evidentiary smoking guns, had less impact on FOX viewers than smoking pork rinds.  The money?  Well, they’ll just make piles more, radicalizing, the worst impulses of their rapt audience, urging them toward full-bore armed revolution.  There will be more cases brought, more charges filed, more punditry from the left and right, but without holding these unapologetic traitors fully accountable for their treasonous actions, our democracy doesn’t stand a chance.
