We’re done, right?  I mean, democracy and equality as a bold concept of governance.  247 years and we’re barely trying to make it work?  30 maybe 40% of us, Trump-huggers, want to tear it all down…not with the slightest clue of what they want, but with the indoctrinated, cultish determination that the hopes, dreams, sacrifices and Constitution of the United States of America, fought and died for throughout the entirety of our tumultuous history, don’t work for them…and, I’m sad to say, they’re correct.  Not about the tear-it-all-down part, but, from the start, we never took the equality thing seriously.

One hundred years, and we still have not passed the Equal Rights Amendment.  The unlevel playing field of station and treatment of class and race in America has barely progressed in a positive arc since the end of WWII.  From inception, the lofty rhetoric of “all men created equal” and “liberty and justice for all” may have ended the shame of slavery, but corporate greed and its strangle hold on legislators and judges has created so wide a gap between the haves and have nots, that those 30-40 percenters cannot even imagine a better, brighter, healthier day.

So, we’ve taken up sides:  the good, (well, better), guys, Democrats, who think government has a responsibility to give everyone a better chance; and the fucktard Republicans who don’t give a rat’s ass about anything or anybody.  How is this even a choice?  WTF?
